How do I register a domain name in Malta?
Use the search bar above to check if your domain is available. If it is, click Register, fill in your details and pay online. We handle the registration through our accredited registrar and your domain is active within minutes. You stay the owner — we just manage it for you.
Can I register a .mt domain through MaltaCode?
.mt and .com.mt domains are managed by the Malta registry NIC-MT and cannot be registered through the standard domain system. We help you through the NIC-MT process and handle all DNS setup. The cost is €20 per year, paid directly to NIC-MT. See our .mt domain guide for full details.
How much does a domain name cost?
Prices depend on the extension. A .com domain starts from around €12–€15 per year, .eu from around €10, .nl from around €8. Prices are shown in real time when you search. Unlike many registrars, our renewal price is the same as the first-year price — no bait-and-switch pricing.
Can I transfer my domain to MaltaCode?
Yes. Search for your existing domain, click Transfer, and enter the EPP/auth code from your current registrar. The transfer typically completes within 1–5 days depending on the extension. Your domain stays active throughout — there is no downtime.
Do I need hosting to register a domain?
No. You can register a domain on its own and point it anywhere you like with custom nameservers. But if you do host with us, we set up all DNS automatically — your domain, SSL certificate, email and website are ready in one step.

Maltese clients pay 18% VAT. EU businesses with a valid VAT number receive a reverse-charge invoice at 0%. Non-EU clients are not charged VAT. Your VAT number is validated in real time during checkout.
