Web Design Malta
Custom WordPress websites — mobile-first, fast, SEO-ready, and built to last. No templates everyone is using. No disappearing after launch.
What Sets Us Apart
Most websites in Malta are either DIY jobs that look it, or expensive builds that nobody maintains afterwards. MaltaCode is neither.
Every site is custom-designed from scratch — built for your business, your audience and your goals. We meet in person in Gozo or Malta, we listen carefully, and we build it properly. After launch, we are still here.
You already know your business needs a proper website. Here is how we make it happen.
Custom design — not a template
Mobile-first from day one
SEO-ready on launch
Fast-loading — optimised
You control your own content
Support after launch
Based in Gozo — happy to meet there or travel to Malta. For most projects, a call or WhatsApp conversation works just as well to get started.
Simple, transparent and collaborative from first conversation to launch day.
We start with a conversation — in person in Gozo or Malta, by phone, or over WhatsApp. No forms to fill, no sales pitch. Just an honest discussion about your business and what your website needs to do.
You tell us your brand, your colours, your logo and examples you like. We design directly — fast, practical, and you see real results immediately. Already have a designer working in Figma? We can work directly from that too.
We build on WordPress — the world’s most used CMS. Clean, fast, custom code. No bloated page builders. Mobile-first from the ground up. You can manage your own content from day one.
We help you get your content right — text, images, structure — and make sure Google can find you. Local SEO for Malta and Gozo included as standard on every project.
We test everything, launch when you are ready, and show you how to manage your own content. You are in control. We are on standby.
After launch, we are still your first call. Updates, changes, new pages, problems — you know where to find us. No tickets, no holding music. A real person who picks up.

Plain answers about how we build sites — and what they cost.
A small business website starts around €1,200 for a 5–7 page mobile-first site with custom design, contact form, SSL and basic SEO. A larger marketing site with custom blocks, gallery and integrations is typically €2,500–€4,500. WooCommerce shops start at around €3,500. We always quote a fixed price after a free discovery call — no hourly meters.
A standard small-business site takes 3–4 weeks from kickoff to launch, assuming we get content and images promptly. Larger custom builds run 6–10 weeks. Most of the timeline is content gathering, not coding — so the more prepared you are, the faster you launch.
Yes — that’s the whole point of using WordPress. We build with the native block editor (Gutenberg) and lock the design via theme.json so you can edit text, swap images, add pages and write posts without breaking anything. We also run a free training call after launch.
No. Page builders make sites slow, fragile and locked to one vendor. We build with native WordPress blocks and a custom Full-Site-Editing theme — the same approach MaltaCode uses for its own site. The result is a faster, lighter, and easier-to-maintain website.
Every MaltaCode website is built mobile-first. We design the mobile layout before the desktop one, because more than 60 % of Malta web traffic comes from phones. Pages are tested on real iOS and Android devices and score 90+ on Google PageSpeed.
Yes. Every site ships with Rank Math SEO Pro pre-configured, schema markup, an XML sitemap, optimised images, GDPR-compliant cookie consent, and a Google Search Console + Analytics setup. For ongoing SEO work we offer a small monthly retainer.
No, but most clients do because it’s simpler. If you prefer to host elsewhere we’ll hand over a clean install on launch day. If you want the all-in-one experience, see our hosting plans.
Small tweaks (text, images, new sections) are usually free for the first month. After that we work on a simple hourly rate or a small monthly care plan. There are no hidden “maintenance fees”.
Whether you want to set up hosting right now, discuss a website project, or simply ask a question — reach out the way that suits you best. Based in Gozo, available across Malta.
