What is FileMaker Pro and who is it for?
FileMaker Pro (now Claris FileMaker) is a low-code platform for building custom business databases that run on Mac, iPad, iPhone, Windows and the web from a single codebase. It’s ideal for SMEs that have outgrown spreadsheets but don’t want the cost or complexity of bespoke software development.
Can FileMaker run on iPad and iPhone?
Yes — that’s its biggest strength. The free FileMaker Go app turns any iPad or iPhone into a fully featured client for the same database your office uses on Mac or Windows. Perfect for site visits, deliveries, stock takes, on-the-road sales or restaurant table service.
How much does a custom FileMaker solution cost?
A small single-user solution starts around €1,500. A multi-user departmental system with custom workflows is typically €4,000–€9,000. Larger ERP-style solutions are quoted per project. FileMaker licensing (per-user or per-server) is separate and we always quote both transparently.

Can you take over an existing FileMaker file?
Yes. We regularly inherit legacy files from previous developers, audit them, document the schema and scripts, and either refactor or extend them. The first step is always a paid 2–3 hour audit so you know what you’re sitting on.
